In the past, I prided myself on never relying on others due to my conflict-avoidant nature. But I’ve come to realize that asking for help is a sign of strength, inspired by characters like Aragorn from Lord of the Rings. Recently, I saw a video of a powerlifter who asked to learn how to deadlift, showing that seeking help is a superpower. Instead of saying “I owe you one,” I’ve learned to simply thank those who help me without expecting anything in return. So, I encourage you to reframe asking for help as a sign of intelligence and strength, and to pay it forward when you receive assistance. Remember, it’s okay to ask for help, just like Aragorn and the guy in the gym did!
