Vertex in Healthcare has officially launched its radiology information system (VRIS) in the UK. This system has been proven to help imaging departments reduce bottlenecks and improve the throughput of diagnostic reports. Designed to enhance administrative efficiencies and streamline processes, VRIS has already demonstrated significant increases in reporting activity for imaging departments. This technology aims to support healthcare providers and imaging networks, enabling them to deliver services more effectively to their patients. With embedded algorithms, VRIS also provides strategic decision support, guiding and streamlining user input for efficient scheduling, report sharing, and patient progress tracking. Additionally, VRIS offers a patient portal to engage patients in their imaging pathway, allowing them to book and manage appointments and access their imaging and reports. Charles Guise-Brown, chief technology officer for Vertex in Healthcare, reiterated the company’s dedication to supporting imaging teams in the UK with technology that allows them to focus more on delivering essential reports, with necessary information readily available.
