Senolytic CAR T Cell Therapy Improves Health in Aged Mice
Senolytic CAR T cell therapy has shown promising results in improving the health of aged mice. This therapy targets senescent cells, which accumulate in the body over time and contribute to age-related tissue decline. The use of chimeric antigen receptor T cells to selectively destroy these senescent cells has proven to be effective. Treatment with anti-uPAR CAR T cells has been found to improve exercise capacity in aging mice and ameliorate metabolic dysfunction. Importantly, this therapy only requires a single administration to achieve long-term therapeutic and preventive effects. This promising research offers hope for potential applications in improving health in aging populations.
