As a woman, I have always had a tendency to people please, a habit that has affected many aspects of my life. However, as I’ve gotten older, I’ve worked on breaking this habit and now prioritize my own well-being and boundaries.
Now, when someone is late for dinner, I don’t hesitate to let them know that my kitchen closes at 8pm. I also limit my time for those who only call me to unload their problems, redirecting them to seek professional help instead.
This shift in mindset and behavior has been one of the greatest improvements in my life, and it’s something I truly cherish about getting older.
