Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, one of the UK’s largest, has chosen Nervecentre’s next-generation Electronic Patient Records (EPR) system in a move to advance its digital capabilities and enhance patient care. The selection of Nervecentre follows a competitive procurement process on the Health Systems Support (HSS) Framework Agreement. This decision builds upon a longstanding partnership between NUH and Nervecentre, positioning Nervecentre at the core of the trust’s digital transformation strategy. This marks Nervecentre’s fourth trust in the East Midlands to adopt its EPR system in just over three months. The partnership between NUH and Nervecentre dates back to 2010, with Nervecentre providing NUH with electronic prescribing and medical administration solutions. The new contract aims to consolidate existing paper-based and digital systems into a single integrated EPR, aligning with the NUH digital strategy to bring improvements, integration, and new ways of working. NUH CEO Anthony May expressed that Nervecentre’s EPR is an integral part of their strategy, providing teams with the digital tools to deliver the best possible care. Nervecentre CEO Paul Volkaerts commended NUH for their innovative use of real-time data to advance patient care and expressed pride in being part of their journey to revolutionize patient care.
