NHS digital leaders are urging Secretary of State for Health and Social Care Victoria Atkins to prioritize digital fundamentals for the service. This includes modern infrastructure, reliable laptops and wi-fi, and staff training. In an open letter, the Digital Health Networks outlined five digital priorities for the NHS in 2024, highlighting the need for sustained investment in core infrastructure and hardware, predictability of funding, improved workforce development, data quality, and greater sharing of skills and knowledge. The letter has also been sent to NHS England’s chief executive and director of transformation.
