The grand opening of the Cornell Behavioral Health Pavilion at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Sarasota, Florida, marks a significant expansion and centralization of the hospital’s mental and behavioral health services.
This state-of-the-art, 82-bed, 95,000-square-foot replacement facility features four inpatient units tailored to specific patient populations, including a 16-bed geriatric unit, 20-bed acute care unit, 24-bed adult unit, and 22-bed adolescent unit. Additionally, the pavilion includes inviting amenities such as an interior garden courtyard, patio, gym, and screened-in porches on the upper floors.
Gresham Smith, based in Tampa, Florida, served as the architect and interior designer for this groundbreaking project.
