The University of Florida and UF Health have broken ground at UF Health Durbin Park, a new 42.5-acre health and wellness campus in St. John’s County, Florida. The development will include a 395,000-square-foot, 150-bed hospital focusing on orthopedics, neurosurgery, cardiovascular medicine, and women’s services, as well as acute, intensive, and emergency care. The hospital will feature operating rooms, an imaging suite, and hybrid labs for interventional procedures. Additionally, a medical office building and ambulatory surgery center are planned, with the latter offering orthopedic and surgical services, as well as rehabilitation facilities. The campus is set to open by late 2025.
