Construction has officially begun on the UCI Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Irvine, California. This collaborative project between UCI Health and Lifepoint Rehabilitation, a division of Lifepoint Health, marks the beginning of a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to providing acute inpatient rehabilitation care for a range of conditions, including stroke, traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries, and amputation.
The 68,000-square-foot, two-story hospital will feature 52 beds, a specialized acquired brain injury unit, a dialysis suite, radiology imaging suite, multidisciplinary therapy gymnasiums, and outdoor courtyards. The hospital is expected to open its doors to patients in 2025.
