The community, previously owned and operated by Los Angeles Jewish Health, has now been renamed Avocet Playa Vista. Offering independent living, assisted living, memory care, and health care services, including rehabilitative therapies, Avocet Playa Vista aims to provide a comprehensive living experience.
Brookdale buys 41 communities

Senior Living Investment Brokerage has successfully closed on the sale of Country Gardens Lanier, a community in Cumming, Georgia, boasting 41 units. Facilitated by SLIB on behalf of GGG Partners, a court-appointed receiver, the sale attracted a regional owner/operator with plans to grow their presence in the Southeast region.
Additionally, SLIB announced the sale of Elk Ridge, a memory care community in Maplewood, Minnesota, comprising 50 units built in 2018. The buyer, an in-state operator looking to enhance their footprint, found value in this property as the seller’s final senior living asset.
SLIB sells 118-bed skilled nursing facility
On Sept. 19, Senior Living Investment Brokerage completed the sale of a 118-bed skilled nursing facility in Pensacola, Florida. Built in 1984 on a 2.4-acre lot, this community garnered interest from a Northeast-based owner looking to expand with the help of an operating partner in the Southeast.
Furthermore, SLIB facilitated the sale of an assisted living and memory care community in Scottsdale, Arizona, featuring 96 units constructed in 1999 with recent renovations in 2017. A real estate investment trust decided to divest from this property, providing an opportunity for a Colorado operator to acquire their first Arizona community.
