University of Los Andes, a private Catholic-inspired higher learning institution dedicated to non-profit education, research, and assistance activities, is expanding its campus in Santiago, Chile.
The expansion project, scheduled for completion between 2027-2030, will introduce a five-story, 150,000 square-foot patient tower with earthquake-resilient features.
This tower will include two 24-bed patient floors, a floor for exams/consultations that can be adapted for inpatient functions in the future, an outpatient surgery suite, and support services.
The new tower will be designed by the national architecture firm Shepley Bulfinch based in Boston.
