I visited Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh, home to nearly a million refugees escaping persecution in Myanmar.
At first glance, it may not seem like much, but the sight of thousands of makeshift homes on hills stretching as far as the eye can see is truly overwhelming.
The displaced Rohingya people
This is the forgotten humanitarian crisis of the Rohingya people. Nearly one million people, and rising, live in this camp.
These refugees have experienced unimaginable trauma and loss, with many likely to spend the rest of their lives in these camps.
