August 14 is National Financial Awareness Day.
I grew up in the countryside of Cuba in a traditional household where my father managed our finances diligently. When I became a mother and faced unexpected challenges, I realized the importance of taking control of my own financial situation.
After my husband’s passing, I found the strength to navigate financial responsibilities, supporting my family through difficult times. Through careful planning and determination, I embraced a new career and paved a brighter future for myself and my loved ones.
No matter the hardships we face, empowering ourselves financially can provide a sense of security and independence that carries us through the darkest moments.
