Strong Memorial Hospital, part of the University of Rochester Medical Center – UR Medicine, has recently opened the Acute Brain Injury NeuroRehabilitation Unit in Rochester, N.Y. The $7 million unit, which includes 11 beds, is an addition to the existing 20-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation unit at the hospital.
This new unit aims to provide comprehensive rehabilitation and support services for both adult and pediatric patients who are recovering from strokes, traumatic brain injuries, and other types of acute acquired brain injuries. This expansion reflects the hospital’s commitment to offering high-quality care for patients in need of specialized neurorehabilitation.
