Stockport NHS FT undergoes digital transformation

Stockport NHS Foundation Trust is partnering with CDW to enhance its digital capabilities and improve patient care through innovation. This 18-month digital transformation programme includes the implementation of cutting-edge solutions at Stepping Hill Hospital, making it the first acute hospital in the UK to use Kontakt.io real-time location services for better asset management and efficiency. Other projects involve a new Cisco wireless network, Imprivata Enterprise Access Management, and a Zebra electronic blood tracking system. This initiative aims to create a more agile working environment and support a mobile workforce across multiple care settings. Stockport’s forward-thinking approach to technology integration serves as a model for other NHS trusts.
