The New York Public Library hosted a sold-out reading of Dickens’ “The Christmas Carol” by popular British author Neil Gaiman in December 2013. Fortunately, the event was recorded and is now available to stream on SoundCloud. Gaiman followed the author’s original edits and prompts for his readings 150 years ago.
At the event, Gaiman was joined by Dickens researcher Molly Oldfield, author of “The Secret Museum,” who shared stories about Dickens gleaned from her library and museum explorations.
If you want to skip straight to Gaiman’s reading, you can advance to 10:00 minutes by dragging the orange bar.
