Aspedan, a digital health business founded by Madison Rose, has been awarded a national grant from Innovate UK, the UK’s innovation agency, in recognition of its potential for growth and innovation.
Aspedan, a finalist in the pre-revenue generating category of the Digital Health Rewired 2024 Pitchfest, is committed to fostering a world where individuals can maximize their healthy lifespan, reduce chronic disease, and live healthier lives.
Madison Rose, along with 233 other high-potential innovators, has been awarded a £50,000 grant to propel Aspedan’s mission forward. The business will also receive 12 months of tailored business support to stimulate the UK’s economy.
The funding from Innovate UK will enable Aspedan to develop a specific feature within their digital health app to help individuals with high blood pressure lower their levels.
Aspedan’s technology uses data from fitness trackers, blood biomarkers, genetics, and health monitoring devices to provide personalized and medically validated health plans via their smartphone app.
Madison Rose stated, “We are thrilled to have received support from Innovate UK. This award will allow Aspedan to build a feature specifically aimed at helping people lower their blood pressure.”
This new award programme aims to support under-represented founders, aligning with the UK’s focus on fostering innovation talent. You can watch Aspedan compete in the live Pitchfest final at Rewired24 on 12-13 March at the NEC in Birmingham.
