Piedmont Healthcare in Atlanta has successfully completed a significant expansion project at the Piedmont Cartersville hospital in Cartersville, Georgia. This $25 million endeavor involved the construction of a 43,100-square-foot North Tower vertical expansion, adding two new floors to the existing three-story tower. The fourth floor now provides additional support space and general storage, while the fifth floor features 20 beds for short-stay patients.
In addition to the vertical expansion, the project also included the renovation and expansion of the existing sterile processing department, adding 11,000 square feet of space to support the hospital’s operations.
The impressive project team behind this expansion includes TMPartners as the architect, McCarthy Building Companies Inc. providing construction services, I. C. Thomasson Associates as the mechanical engineer, Stanley D. Lindsey and Associates Ltd. serving as the structural engineer, and Meadows & Ohly as the program manager.
