I’ve known my friend Chuck for more than 40 years. After all this time, you’d think I’d know everything about him – his quirks, his taste in music, his hobbies. But recently, I was surprised to find out that he’s become a huge fan of Jeopardy. He’s even postponed other plans just to watch the show live.
Surprisingly, I’ve also picked up the habit of watching Jeopardy lately, even though I’ve always been a trivia fan. Sometimes it helps my memory, but other times I’m struggling to recall the answers.
Now, I find myself calling Chuck to discuss the categories and dissecting the contestants’ final answers. It’s become a habit for me, just like how my friend Carol always tunes into Wheel of Fortune.
Late in Life Habits
I’ve picked up other habits late in life, too. I used to be a mess, but now I’m meticulous about putting things back where they belong. It’s become a routine that I developed as I got older.
Your Turn
But that’s my story. What about you? What habits have you acquired late in life? Share your experiences in the comments!
