NHS Shared Business Services has launched a groundbreaking Digital Health Advisory Services framework agreement to enhance the digital, data, and technology capabilities of the NHS workforce. This procurement solution aims to address immediate and short-term digital expertise needs cost-effectively and compliantly.
The increasing technological advancements in the NHS highlight the importance of equipping the workforce with the necessary skills to implement digital transformation projects effectively. Failure to do so could compromise patient safety and care.
In collaboration with NHS England’s Transformation Directorate, the framework comprises 40 pre-vetted consultancy providers specializing in digital healthcare. These providers offer services such as IT project delivery, clinical informatics advisory, digital training, and temporary staff with DDaT skills, supporting the NHS in achieving its workforce upskilling goals.
David Holbrook, senior category manager at NHS Shared Business Services, emphasized the framework’s importance in accelerating successful digital adoption to bridge the workforce gap in the NHS transformation journey. This two-year framework, with potential extensions, offers a range of digital advisory services across four key areas to health and care services at no cost.
