In this post, I will be sharing my journey of battling inflammation and addressing some health issues that I have successfully resolved over the past year. Please note that this post contains images of red eyes so proceed with caution if that is triggering for you.
Hello friends! I hope you are all having a wonderful week. Personally, I have been busy putting our house back together after some renovations and preparing for upcoming spring travel and adventures. Today, I wanted to delve into my health journey over the past year and the strategies I have implemented. Just a gentle reminder, I am not a medical professional so please consult with your doctor for personalized advice. Don’t settle for being told you have to live with certain health issues, seek out multiple opinions until you find the help you deserve.
About a year ago, I experienced a sudden onset of eye issues that turned them bright neon red for weeks. Multiple doctors had differing opinions on the cause – everything from pink eye to Lupus markers showing up in my blood work. I was struggling with blepharitis, MGD, and dry eye. Various symptoms like stress rashes, fatigue, hair loss, and difficulty recovering from workouts indicated something more complex was happening in my body.
Instead of immediately seeking a rheumatologist, I decided to take matters into my own hands and create a healing plan to combat the inflammation. I am happy to report that I have been symptom-free since December and my Lupus markers have even disappeared in subsequent blood work.
Here are the key components of my healing plan:
1. Elimination of gluten and dairy from my diet
2. Functional testing to identify deficiencies and sensitivities
3. Journaling to track patterns and triggers
4. Managing histamine load by avoiding certain foods
5. Gut repair protocols including CBO treatment
6. Incorporating a balanced diet with a focus on whole foods
7. Completing a parasite cleanse protocol
8. Gradual reintroduction of exercise, focusing on strength training and low-impact workouts
While healing takes time and patience, I am grateful for the progress I have made. Remember, your body has the capacity to heal itself, so trust the process and stay committed to your health journey. Let’s prioritize our well-being and embrace the journey to feeling our best selves! 💖
