MetroHealth in Cleveland recently marked the opening of a new helipad on the roof of its critical care pavilion as part of the organization’s $1 billion transformation of the main campus in Cleveland’s Clark-Fulton neighborhood.
The helipad is equipped with advanced technologies to automatically clear snow and ice, as well as reduce noise and vibration for patients and hospital staff. It provides efficient access to the pavilion’s emergency department, trauma bays, and operating rooms.
MetroHealth has partnered with Promedica, a medical transportation provider based in Toledo, Ohio, for air medical transport services.
The organization’s commitment to excellence was recognized with its inclusion in Healthcare Design’s HCD 10 as an Outstanding Organization.
