Sharing my May book recommendations and my thoughts on each read! I hope you all are having a fantastic day so far. I recently returned from Dallas and will be posting about my experience at the Biohacking Conference tomorrow. Today, the kids are at camp, so I have a full morning of podcast interviews lined up before hopping on the Peloton. I’ve been making an effort to carve out time for reading despite a busy schedule. I currently have 12 books on my to-read list, and I’m excited to dive into them.

I’ve been participating in a mentorship program through EquiLife and studying for the High Performance Health Certification (use code FITNESSISTA if you’re interested!). Despite the busyness, I managed to read a few books over the past couple of months that I wanted to share with you all. I would love to hear what’s on your summer reading list in the comments below!

Books I Read in May:

1. Just for the Summer – Abby Jimenez
Justin and Emma have a plan to break a curse that has been plaguing their love lives. This heartwarming romance by Abby Jimenez was a delightful read, full of witty banter and engaging characters. I highly recommend it! 9/10.

2. Funny Story – Emily Henry
Daphne’s life takes an unexpected turn when her fiancé leaves her for his childhood best friend. She forms an unlikely friendship with Petra’s ex, Miles, leading to a series of surprising adventures. While the book had some spice, the storyline left me wanting more. 5/10.

3. The Women – Kristin Hannah
This novel follows nursing student Frankie McGrath as she serves in Vietnam and returns to a divided America. It sheds light on the sacrifices and bravery of women in war. As a fan of Kristin Hannah, I found this book eye-opening and heart-wrenching. A must-read! 10/10.

4. Learn Spanish for Vacations
In preparation for my upcoming trip to Spain, I’ve been practicing my Spanish with a tutor and listening to podcasts and music. I found this audiobook on essential travel phrases helpful for brushing up on my language skills. Highly recommended for Spanish-speaking travels! 9/10.

I hope these recommendations inspire you to add some new books to your collection! Let me know what you’re reading this summer in the comments.
