Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida has announced a groundbreaking $300 million expansion project for its emergency department (ED). According to wsvn.com, the project will triple the size of the current ED.
The expansion will encompass a 130,000-square-foot area and will feature over 200 patient rooms, 50 observation rooms, 30 pediatric rooms, and six resuscitation rooms. The first phase of the project is expected to be completed by fall 2025, with the second phase wrapping up in 2026.
