Last year, Michael Strahan’s daughter Isabella was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a rare and aggressive brain tumor. After initially keeping the news private, Isabella decided to share her journey in an interview with Robin Roberts on Good Morning America, where Michael is a co-anchor.
In the interview, Isabella detailed her story, explaining that she first realized something was wrong in 2023 when she began experiencing frequent headaches, nausea, and difficulty walking. After waking up one morning vomiting blood, she was diagnosed with medulloblastoma and underwent surgery on her 19th birthday.
Following her surgery, Isabella completed a month of rehab and underwent six weeks of radiation. She’ll start chemotherapy in February at Duke, where she plans to share her story through a YouTube series.
Michael expressed his pride in Isabella’s strength and determination. He also shared that this experience has taught him perspective and the importance of finding hope amidst the pain and fear.
Isabella is grateful for the support she has received and looks forward to continuing with her life as she can. Despite the challenges, she remains hopeful and determined to overcome this obstacle.
