Health Innovation Leeds Elevates Leeds’ Reputation in Health Research and Innovation.
Health Innovation Leeds, a collaborative initiative by Leeds’ health and care research and innovation partners, is set to propel the city to new heights in showcasing world-leading developments and advancements in health and care.
The initiative is led by Leeds Academic Health Partnership and includes key partners such as Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust, and Leeds Health and Care Partnership, among others.
Through Health Innovation Leeds, the partners aim to position Leeds as a competitive health innovation hub, attracting greater influence and investment. The city’s already burgeoning Innovation Arc and recent government investment boost further solidify its position as a key player in the health innovation landscape.
Propelling Progress in Health and Care
Leeds’ strong track record in health innovation, including pioneering initiatives in pathology imaging and interventional radiology, has positioned it as a leader in the field. With the launch of Health Innovation Leeds, the city aims to further consolidate its position as a preferred location for health and care innovation.
Kate Lodge, partnership director at Leeds Academic Health Partnership, expressed the initiative’s goal to spotlight the city’s strengths and provide a gateway to its unique health research and innovation ecosystem, translating research into practice and enabling innovators to develop their products.
