Cambric Systems, a healthcare data software supplier, has announced the successful integration of RCPCH’s GrowthAPI with NHS Forth Valley’s Morse EPR system. This integration is set to save clinical time, provide improved information, and support earlier access to care for children and families.
Growth is a crucial measure of health in children, and the RCPCH’s digitalized capability aims to provide accurate growth centile lines. The API developed by RCPCH allows electronic health records to access these calculations automatically.
According to Scott Jaffray, the integration has had a positive impact on clinicians across NHS Forth Valley’s pediatric services. By integrating the world-leading child growth calculation technology into Morse EPR, clinicians can instantly determine if a child is within safe parameters or needs specialist assessment, saving time and providing peace of mind to clinicians and parents.
MD at Cambric, Garry Sherriff, expressed pride in the completion of the project, which will result in better solutions for frontline clinicians and ultimately support better patient care provision.
NHS Forth Valley initially deployed the Morse EPR app in 2022 to support mobile community staff, aiming to improve efficiency and collaboration.
