The Medical University of Vienna is harnessing the power of Docobo technology to remotely monitor cancer patients’ symptoms during treatment. By utilizing the DOC@HOME health platform and app, patients are able to conveniently monitor their symptoms and transfer routine data from the comfort of their own homes. The app sends data in real time to a clinical hub, where any concerning thresholds are flagged for immediate attention from a clinician. This approach, backed by the success of the eSMART EU project, not only improves care standards but also supports better treatment planning and decision making. With the recent addition of the ability to monitor breathing rates virtually, the Medical University of Vienna is further expanding the app’s capabilities to cover a range of diseases, taking a significant step towards personalized medicine and care.
