Three companies are moving on to the final stage of the CivTech Round 9 Accelerator, all with tech-based solutions aimed at empowering women to better understand and access support for menopause. The Scottish Government-funded program has chosen 13 companies to advance to the accelerator round, including Adora Digital Health, Lumino, and Cohesion. These three companies were named winners of the challenge sponsored by the Scottish Government’s Chief Scientists Office. Adora Digital Health provides access to trusted health experts and a symptom tracker, Lumino is developing a cognitive behavioral therapy digital product, and Cohesion is exploring support at the community pharmacy level. The winning companies will work with their challenge sponsors to progress their solutions and develop a minimum viable product. The CivTech program, the world’s first government-run scheme, has seen significant investment from the Scottish Government, with winning businesses hoping to secure contracts ranging from several hundred thousand pounds to £1.3 million. Scottish Government’s innovation minister, Richard Lochhead, expressed optimism about the impact of the CivTech Accelerator solutions, highlighting the use of advanced technology to address real-world challenges and improve people’s lives.
