Digital Health and Care Wales (DHCW) has recently updated its licensing agreement with Microsoft for the use of Microsoft products within the country’s health service. The new contract, valued at £450 million, has been awarded to Microsoft solutions partner Trustmarque under a framework agreement. The agreement requires Trustmarque to provide licensing solutions in line with the Public Sector Digital Transformation Agreement and to support DHCW in software asset management policies. This update follows a previous 2019 deal between Trustmarque and DHCW’s successor organization, the NHS Wales Informatics Service, and further cements Trustmarque’s role in supplying Microsoft tools for the Welsh health service. Additionally, DHCW hosts a Microsoft 365 Center of Excellence, further demonstrating its commitment to utilizing Microsoft products in its operations.
