Devesh Sinha, CCIO at Barking, Havering and Redbridge NHS Foundation Trust, emphasized the importance of creating clinical informatics teams that align with the organization and patient journey during his address at Digital Health Rewired 2024.
In a session focused on ‘leading digital programs under intense pressure’, speakers including Dr. Penny Kechagioglou, Devesh Sinha, and Janet Dodd discussed the challenges faced by acute NHS trusts.
Sinha highlighted the hurdles in areas such as EPR development and the need for balance between operational and informatics resources. Meanwhile, Dr. Kechagioglou stressed the significance of the EPR as a strategic enabler, emphasizing that digital challenges are often related to people rather than technology.
Janet Dodd from Sheffield Children’s Hospital NHS Foundation Trust addressed the workforce challenges, including fear of digital adoption.
