For the first time in over a decade, I rewatched my 2012 TEDx talk on “Nerd Fitness and Resetting the Game of Life.” Despite my discomfort with public speaking, I shared my ideas and even forced myself on stage. Rewatching the talk, I realized it wasn’t as embarrassing as I thought and I had some decent ideas back then. Reflecting on my journey, I’ve learned the importance of addressing the root cause of distraction and procrastination. Life has changed since then, and I now focus on having a good day each day rather than chasing endless goals. Self-compassion and acceptance have become a key theme in my life. Despite the challenges, hitting the reset button is always an option in the game of life. -Steve
