Last week brought the long-awaited arrival of one of the world’s most beloved shows on Netflix:
LOST.
I’m thrilled that more viewers will now have the opportunity to discover this captivating series. For six years, from 2004 to 2010, I was glued to my screen every week following the mysterious journey of Oceanic Flight 815’s passengers on ABC.
While the show had its ups and downs, one episode, in particular, stands out as a masterpiece:
The Constant from Season 5.
I won’t spoil it for those who have yet to watch, but let’s just say it’s a gripping tale of a character’s struggle with dual realities and the power of connections.
My own experiences traveling the globe in 2011 evoked memories of The Constant.
Amidst the chaos of constant change during my travels, my workouts provided stability and routine.
Now, as I navigate a busy schedule once more, I find comfort in consistent habits that ground me:
- 15 minutes of movement each day.
- Nutritious meals and adequate protein.
- Morning writing session.
These daily practices help me stay centered and healthy amidst life’s uncertainties.
In a world of external distractions, true self-care often lies in establishing internal routines and priorities.
What is your “Constant”?
Share with me your own Constant that grounds you amidst life’s whirlwinds.
- A quick chat with a loved one?
- A gym session?
- Brief meditation break?
- A walk in nature?
In tumultuous times, identifying and nurturing our constants is crucial to staying grounded.
What keeps you anchored in reality when everything else feels overwhelming?
I invite you to share your constants with me. Let’s connect!
-Steve
