Victoria Reese tenía 25 años cuando comenzó a sentir adormecimiento y hormigueo en las piernas. Inmediatamente supo que algo estaba mal. Después de una serie de síntomas preocupantes, finalmente le diagnosticaron esclerosis múltiple. Desafortunadamente, como mujer afroamericana, experimentó demoras y prejuicios en su diagnóstico debido a conceptos erróneos sobre quién puede contraer la enfermedad.
