West Northamptonshire Council has recently entered into a five-year partnership with social care expert System C to implement a cloud-based case management application for adult social care services in the region.
Scheduled to launch in February 2025, the Liquidlogic system aims to provide a comprehensive, integrated view of individuals by incorporating their GP’s data and offering residents access to manage their own records through a customer portal.
Once operational, the system will be utilized by over 500 council employees, who provide care and support to more than 4,500 residents on a daily basis. Additionally, social care providers, carers, and the voluntary sector will also have access to the platform.
Cllr Matt Golby, cabinet member for adult care, public health, and regulatory services at West Northamptonshire Council, emphasized that this initiative aligns with the council’s vision of creating a digitally inclusive community where all residents can easily access council services.
System C was chosen for its high-quality system, data standards, usability, and seamless integration capabilities with the finance system. The platform is expected to streamline assessment and payment processes, enhance efficiencies, and facilitate a proactive approach in managing referrals for individuals in need of adult social care.
Nick Wilson, chief executive at System C, highlighted the company’s commitment to developing innovative solutions that empower councils to enable self-management for individuals while supporting staff in delivering efficient and effective services.
In a separate development, University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust successfully implemented System C’s BadgerNet electronic patient record and Badger Notes online portal in its maternity services in June 2024.
