West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust has introduced a new app to improve maternity care for new mums in the Hertfordshire area. The digital record system, BadgerNet, has replaced traditional paper-based maternity notes, making it easier for expectant parents to access their medical records throughout pregnancy, birth, and post-natally. This technology not only benefits patients but also helps clinicians respond quickly to any issues. The app is part of the hospital’s digital transformation journey, contributing to reducing the environmental impact of paper use and promoting inclusivity by offering resources in multiple languages. With nearly 8,000 pregnant women using the app within the first year, West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals is committed to providing accessible and high-quality maternity care.
