Viva Senior Living recently made a significant move in their growth plans by acquiring eight communities previously managed by Commonwealth Senior Living. These communities, located in Maryland, Tennessee, and Virginia, were sold by healthcare real estate company Invesque. As part of the deal, the first seven communities were sold for a total of $65.4 million, with the eighth community currently being finalized for acquisition. This acquisition expands Viva’s presence and brand recognition in multiple states, aligning with their strategic growth plans in the East, Southeast, and Midwest markets. With over 30 communities offering independent living, assisted living, and memory care services, Viva Senior Living will now bring their operational practices and aging-in-place care model to the newly acquired buildings. Communication with staff and residents will be a priority during this transition, ensuring a seamless experience. Each Viva community operates autonomously, with executive directors acting as “community CEOs” to drive performance and maintain high resident care standards.
