UK digital cancer care platform Careology has partnered with the US-based company Evolent Health to enhance care pathways for US health plan patients.
This collaboration between Careology and Evolent aims to integrate Careology’s patient-centric digital solution with Evolent’s care navigation services. Evolent, serving over 70 health plans with around 40 million members, focuses on improving care quality and affordability for cancer and other health conditions.
The goal is to incorporate Careology into Evolent’s navigation services for health plan clients, with a digital cancer care platform set to launch by the end of 2024 and a national rollout planned for 2025. Careology’s platform is designed to empower patients with personalized information, access to intuitive tools for managing their diagnosis, treatment, and symptoms, ultimately minimizing unnecessary hospital visits.
Paul Landau, Careology’s CEO, emphasized the importance of enhancing cancer care experiences through this partnership, stating, “Bringing together our capabilities will improve the cancer care proposition in the US.”
Evolent’s president, Dan McCarthy, highlighted the potential of Careology’s digital platform to deliver a seamless, connected care experience that leads to better patient outcomes. As part of this collaboration, McCarthy will join Careology’s board.
The partnership builds on a successful pilot of the Careology platform at Nuffield Health Derby Hospital in 2022, which expanded to 12 Nuffield Health hospitals in the UK.
