University Hospitals of Derby and Burton (UHDB) and Chesterfield Royal Hospital (CRH) have partnered to implement a new electronic patient record system (EPR) provided by Nervecentre. This collaborative approach aims to bring significant benefits to patients and staff by providing easy access to patient records at the bedside through a modern interface that can be accessed on mobile devices. The system will also support virtual clinics, making care more accessible for patients in Derbyshire and Staffordshire. The implementation of this new EPR system is expected to take up to two years to be fully implemented across both trusts. CEO of Nervecentre, Paul Volkaerts, expressed excitement about this partnership, highlighting how the integrated EPR will improve access to real-time patient information and ultimately enhance the quality of care provided to patients.
