On August 14th, Jacquelyne Froeber and Noelys Mendez celebrate National Financial Awareness Day. Jacquelyne shares her journey from growing up in Cuba to taking control of her finances after a devastating loss.
Raised in a traditional Cuban household, Jacquelyne’s parents worked hard to provide for their family. However, after a failed marriage and the passing of her husband Damian from liver cancer, Jacquelyne found herself as the sole breadwinner for her daughters and mother.
With the help of her daughter, Jacquelyne created a financial plan, taking over all the bills and credit cards. She transitioned to a full-time job at an assembly factory, despite the challenges of starting a new career at 45.
Through her story, Jacquelyne highlights the strength and resilience of women in the face of adversity. Despite the hardships, she remains proud of her journey towards financial independence and empowerment. If you have a real-life story to share, please let us know!
