Tachmed Partners with St George’s, University of London

Tachmed, a developer of at-home digital healthcare solutions, has joined forces with experts in infection control at St George’s, University of London to accelerate the development of their new digital diagnostics platform. The collaboration, funded by an Innovate UK Accelerated Knowledge Transfer grant, aims to optimize Tachmed’s groundbreaking graphene biosensor technology for faster and more accurate at-home diagnostics.

Dr Henry Staines, senior lecturer in global health at St George’s, will provide critical knowledge exchange to enhance the performance of Tachmed’s biosensor in detecting pathogens in patient samples. The ultimate goal of the partnership is to create at-home diagnostic tests that can seamlessly send results to healthcare practitioners, streamlining the diagnostic process for patients.

Dr Staines highlighted the potential of the new technology to revolutionize home diagnostics, making it more accessible, cost-effective, and user-friendly. Tachmed’s upcoming device, Tachshield, is set to launch by the end of the year, offering a new level of convenience and efficiency in remote health monitoring.

Previous collaborations between Tachmed and healthcare providers like Doctor Now have paved the way for the development of innovative digital health solutions and improved patient outcomes. The partnership with St George’s represents a significant step forward in advancing at-home diagnostics and enhancing healthcare delivery.
