Sheffield Hallam University’s Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre (AWRC) has announced the companies that will be part of its Advanced Wellbeing Accelerator programme for the 2024 cohort. This prestigious six-month programme received a significant increase in applications, with 30% more than the previous year. The successful applicants cover a wide range of healthtech innovations, including a patented vaccine cooling system and a bioanalytics engine capable of monitoring 160+ biomarkers. The program will also provide dedicated support from global MBA students for the first time. The selected companies will benefit from research expertise, mentorship, and up to £25,000 of non-dilutive R&D support. The AWRC aims to support these innovative ventures in bringing their products to market and contributing to the prevention of disease and the resilience of people.
