Black women, who have the highest obesity rates in the U.S., face unique challenges. Partnership between HealthyWomen and Black Women’s Health Imperative aims to address the root causes of obesity in Black women, combating stigma and increasing awareness.
The “Reclaim Your Wellness” campaign educates about obesity as a disease and national health crisis, focusing on removing judgment and bias. Providing tailored content, resources, podcasts, and real women’s stories, the initiative emphasizes the physical and emotional impact of obesity.
