Presbyterian Homes and Services (PHS) President and CEO, Dan Lindh, has announced his retirement after nearly fifty years with the organization. The company revealed this news on Monday.
This announcement has prompted a leadership transition and a search for a new CEO that the PHS board of directors aims to conclude by spring 2025. In the meantime, Lindh will continue to lead the organization until stepping down in May of 2025.
In a news release regarding his retirement, Lindh expressed his gratitude for being part of the mission and purpose of honoring God by enriching the lives of older adults and those who serve them. He also acknowledged the honor of working alongside an outstanding board, great leadership team, and capable staff.
After beginning at PHS in 1976 as an accountant, Lindh worked his way up the ranks, eventually becoming CEO in 1996. Under his leadership, PHS has grown from one community to over 60 locations and from a staff of under 200 employees to over 7,500 today.
PHS Senior Communications Specialist Dave Rustad noted, “Dan’s impact has spread far beyond PHS, and his expertise and influence have helped shape the aging services industry.”
Board of Directors Chairperson Jim Green expressed gratitude for Lindh’s leadership and impact on the organization over the years, stating, “Dan’s unwavering commitment to serving older adults, his never-ending energy to upholding a deeply rooted Christian culture, and his incredible business acumen have been instrumental in building an organization deeply focused on living out its mission of enriching the lives and touching the hearts of older adults.”
