Physician Launching New Memory Care Community With Focus on Wellness

A new type of memory care community emphasizing wellness and preventative health is coming to Sonoma County, California. MD Senior Wellness, a 27-bed community founded by Dr. Rajesh Kalra, aims to provide a unique approach to memory care by integrating lifestyle medicine practices. With a focus on nutrition, sleep, social connections, and physical activities like walking and tai chi, MD Senior Wellness is set to open in the third quarter of 2025. Dr. Kalra, along with his wife Nisha, a dentist, plans to offer concierge medicine services tailored specifically for seniors to promote healthy living. Their vision includes fostering a community of diverse seniors who can learn from and support one another. The opening of MD Senior Wellness required changes to Santa Rosa’s planning code, but Dr. Kalra’s dedication to improving memory care options in Sonoma County has been the driving force behind this innovative new community.
