Here at Fit Foodie Finds, we’ve been sharing overnight oats recipes since 2010 and have over 30 variations on our site. We know a thing or two about making the perfect batch of overnight oats. In this post, we’ll teach you how to make overnight oats and share 8 simple flavor variations so that you never get bored.
To make the base recipe, you’ll need oats and liquid. Our preferred ingredients include rolled oats, almond milk, chia seeds, Greek yogurt, vanilla extract, and honey or maple syrup for sweetness. Mix everything together and let it soak in the fridge overnight or for at least 2 hours.
Do you have to let your oats sit overnight? The longer they soak, the thicker they will be. We recommend at least 2 hours, but overnight is best.
If your oats are too thick or too thin, simply adjust the amount of milk or oats and let them sit for a little longer to achieve your desired consistency.
We’re also sharing 8 delicious flavor variations, including Snickers, PB&J, Chocolate Protein, Lemon Blueberry, Vanilla Latte, Apple Pie, Strawberry Banana, and Banana Cream Pie. Simply add the additional ingredients to the base recipe for a flavorful twist on your breakfast.
Whether you prefer your oats cold or warm, overnight oats are a versatile and satisfying breakfast option that you can customize to your liking. Store them in the fridge for 3-5 days and enjoy a delicious and nutritious breakfast all week long!
