Two nonprofit senior living operators, Judson Senior Living and McGregor Senior Living, have partnered to establish Hospice of Greater Cleveland. This joint venture aims to expand hospice care in the Cleveland, Ohio area to meet the growing demand for services. With a collective reach of over 1500 individuals and their families in Northeast Ohio, the collaboration will enhance the quality and accessibility of hospice care.
Both companies had been operating individual hospice programs before merging them into this new venture. By combining their expertise and resources, Hospice of Greater Cleveland is poised to provide comprehensive and compassionate care not only within their facilities but also in the wider community.
The decision to partner was fueled by a longstanding collaboration between the two operators, with a shared commitment to enhancing end-of-life care for seniors. The move to combine forces was accelerated by the challenges brought on by the pandemic, prompting a more integrated approach to recruitment, training, and service delivery.
With a focus on continuity of care and an average caseload ranging from eight to 20 patients at a time, the joint venture will leverage the strengths of both organizations to create a full-service hospice program. This initiative signifies a significant step towards improving access to hospice care and enhancing the quality of life for seniors in the Cleveland area.
