NHS England has allocated approximately £1 million to seven trusts as part of its Wireless Trials program. The initiative aims to leverage advanced wireless technologies to enhance patient care and staff efficiency. Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust will integrate satellite and cloud-based wireless solutions to improve connectivity across its hospital sites and community services. Additionally, other trusts will utilize the funding to implement wireless trackers for medical equipment, update wireless connections in A&E and ambulance areas, and develop a new app for staff observations. The program is expected to bring significant improvements to patient care and clinical operations.
