A new membership body, UK Digital Health and Care (UKDHC), has been launched in the UK, providing a professional home for individuals in the sector. This comes as the Faculty of Clinical Informatics (FCI) is being dissolved due to financial issues and internal disagreements. UKDHC aims to provide training and education support for health and social care informaticians, with a focus on using modern technology to improve service delivery. The association’s team includes former FCI leaders and is dedicated to fostering a collaborative environment, organizing educational events, promoting research and innovation, and advocating for ethical practices. The association plans to offer various membership benefits, and those who register interest by January 31 can receive a 50% reduction in annual fees.
