Meet Kevin, our newest addition to the Senior Planet team, bringing Senior Planet curriculum to the Vietnamese-speaking population of Maryland!
What inspired you to become a Senior Planet Trainer?
I’ve always had a passion for teaching, especially in the realm of technology. When the opportunity arose to help seniors navigate the digital world, I knew it was the perfect fit.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
The most gratifying part is empowering participants to engage with technology confidently. Witnessing their excitement when they grasp new concepts like emojis and share their newfound knowledge with loved ones is truly rewarding.
Which classes do you teach in Vietnamese?
Currently, we’re focused on the Online Basics Series, covering internet connectivity and online safety. Our Vietnamese language offerings have been well-received and are expanding rapidly!
What are your hobbies outside of work?
I cherish spending time with my three-year-old son, indulging in nostalgic book readings. In addition, I enjoy running, playing pool, and exploring new destinations through travel.
What does “aging with attitude” mean to you?
To me, it’s about maintaining curiosity and staying open to new experiences. Embracing curiosity allows for personal growth and exploration.
